Working principle According to Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, a pair of sensing electrodes is installed on the pipe wall perpendicular to the axis the measuring pipe and the magnetic line of force. When the conductive fluid moves along the axis of the measuring pipe, the conductive fluid cuts the magnetic line of force to produce induced electromotive force, which is detected by the two sensing electrodes.
