However, there was a significant gap in product accuracy and stability compared with the international advanced level.
2. Technology Catch-up Phase (1980s - Early 21st Century)
Driven by the growth of industrial demand, domestic enterprises increased R&D investment, achieving progress in sensor technology and digital signal processing. The measurement accuracy and reliability of products were significantly improved. During this phase, turbine flow meters were gradually expanded to multiple industries such as petroleum and chemical engineering. At the same time, China began to establish relevant metrological calibration systems, reducing dependence on imported products.
3. Independent Breakthrough and Intelligent Transformation Phase (21st Century - 2024)
The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data technologies promoted the intelligent transformation of products. Domestic enterprises broke through core component technologies, such as improving bearing and impeller materials. Some enterprises started to develop supporting monitoring systems, realizing real-time collection and preliminary analysis of flow data. Domestic products gradually dominated the mid-end market and began to enter high-end fields such as oil and gas trade settlement.
4. High-quality Development and Market Rise Phase (2025 and Present)
Driven by relevant industrial policies, domestic turbine flow meters have achieved a qualitative leap. The application of new materials such as tungsten carbide ceramic bearings has greatly improved product service life, with range ratio and accuracy reaching the international advanced level. It is expected that the market share of domestic products in the high-end field will exceed 55% in 2025, while expanding into clean energy measurement fields such as hydrogen and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
