TAS2142 (TDK Analog Output TMR Angle Sensor)

TAS2142 is a TMR (Tunnel Magnetoresistance) analog output angle sensor launched by TDK. It belongs to the TAS214x series, also commonly referred to as TMR angle sensor / analog angle sensor.
Application: Non-contact, full-range 360° high-precision rotation angle measurement, output analog SIN/COS differential signals.
Working Principle: Based on the TMR tunnel magnetoresistance effect, it integrates two sets of orthogonal (90°) Wheatstone bridge circuits internally. It generates sine and cosine voltages with the rotation of the external magnetic field to directly reflect the rotation shaft angle.
Output: The differential amplitude is 3.0 Vpp at 5V power supply. It can be directly connected to ADC without additional amplification, featuring high signal-to-noise ratio.
Advantages: Compared with Hall / AMR sensors, it has higher sensitivity, lower temperature drift, stronger stability and longer service life; suitable for harsh environments and safety-critical scenarios.
