This is a general-purpose MLCC with large capacitance and low rated voltage, mainly used for power filtering, decoupling, energy storage, voltage regulation and ripple smoothing.
Placed beside power pins of CPU, SoC, DDR, FPGA and other ICs to eliminate low-to-medium frequency noise, suppress voltage ripple and stabilize power supply, avoiding chip crash or reboot.The 100μF large capacitance is ideal for high-current and low-voltage power rails such as 5V, 3.3V and 1.8V.
It discharges rapidly to supplement current under transient heavy load, minimizing voltage drop and enhancing system stability.
Installed at the secondary output of switching power supplies to smooth voltage pulses and reduce ripple noise.
