                Application scenarios of split-type electromagnetic flowmeters 

 

  Split-type electromagnetic flowmeters are mainly used in the following situations:

 

1. Measurement Requirements

Measuring volume flow in conductive liquids and slurries: Split-type electromagnetic flowmeters are particularly suitable for measuring the volume flow of conductive liquids in closed pipelines, such as water, sewage, slurry, pulp, various acids, alkalis, salt solutions, and food slurries. These liquids generate an induced electromotive force when passing through a magnetic field, which is then measured by the flowmeter.

High-precision measurement: When high-precision flow measurement is required, split-type electromagnetic flowmeters are an excellent choice. Their accuracy can reach ±0.5% or ±1%, making them suitable for precise process control and quality monitoring.                    2. Application Environments

Complex industrial environments: In industries such as oil, chemical, metallurgy, textile, food, pharmaceutical, and papermaking, as well as in fields like environmental protection, municipal management, and water conservancy construction, the environment is often complex, and there is a high demand for the stability and reliability of flowmeters. Split-type electromagnetic flowmeters, with their constant magnetic field, precise sensor design, and advanced signal processing technology, can operate stably in these environments and provide accurate flow data.

High-temperature, high-humidity, or inaccessible environments: In these environments, direct observation or operation of the flowmeter may be difficult. Split-type electromagnetic flowmeters install the sensor on the measurement pipeline and the converter at a certain distance from the sensor (typically tens to hundreds of meters), connected by shielded cables, making installation and maintenance more convenient. 

  3. Special Requirements

Cross-industry application: Due to the wide range of applications of split-type electromagnetic flowmeters, they can meet the flow measurement requirements of different industries, thus having an advantage in cross-industry applications.

Low pressure loss requirement: There are no flow-obstructing components inside the measuring tube, resulting in no pressure loss and a lower requirement for straight pipe sections. This is particularly important in situations where maintaining stable fluid pressure is necessary.

Multiple material options: The sensor lining and electrode materials have multiple options to meet the measurement requirements of different media. For example, for highly corrosive media, corrosion-resistant lining and electrode materials can be selected.

Multiple output methods: The converter has multiple output methods, such as current, pulse, digital communication, etc., which is convenient for integration with various control systems and data acquisition systems.
