Gas turbine flow meters are widely used in natural gas, industrial gas, urban gas and other fields due to their high measurement accuracy and fast response speed. 1. Measurement Accuracy and Rangeability
The accuracy grade of gas turbine flow meters directly affects the price:
Ordinary industrial grade: accuracy ±1.5% to 2.5%, suitable for general monitoring, and the price is relatively low.
High-precision type: accuracy ±0.5% to 1.0%, suitable for trade settlement or high-demand working conditions, and the price is relatively high.
Rangeability: The wider the rangeability (such as 20:1 or 30:1), the more working conditions it can be applied to, but the price is also higher.
Purchase suggestion: High-precision models should be selected for critical occasions such as trade measurement and energy settlement, while economic models can be used for general monitoring.
2. Material and Pressure Resistance Grade
Body material: aluminum alloy (economical), stainless steel (corrosion-resistant, higher price), special alloys (such as Hastelloy, used for highly corrosive gases, very expensive).
Bearing and turbine material: ceramic bearings have a long service life but are costly, while ordinary metal bearings are cheaper but require regular maintenance.
Pressure rating: Standard type (1.6 MPa), medium-high pressure type (4.0 MPa), ultra-high pressure type (10 MPa and above). The higher the pressure resistance, the higher the price.
Purchase suggestions: For corrosive gases (such as biogas and chemical gases), stainless steel or alloy materials should be selected. For high-pressure pipelines, the corresponding pressure rating should be chosen.
3. Additional functions and intelligence level
Signal output: Basic type (4-20mA/pulse output), intelligent type (with HART/Modbus communication). The latter is more expensive.
Temperature and pressure compensation: Flowmeters with built-in temperature and pressure sensors can automatically correct the working condition flow, but the price is 20% to 50% higher than that of ordinary types.
Explosion-proof certification: Ex explosion-proof certification (such as Exd II CT6) is suitable for hazardous environments, but it will increase the cost.
Purchase suggestions: Intelligent type should be selected for remote monitoring or data management. Explosion-proof models must be used in flammable and explosive environments.
4. Installation and maintenance costs
Installation method: Flange connection (high cost but stable), threaded connection (economical, suitable for small pipe diameters).
Maintenance cycle: High-end models (such as ceramic bearings) can last up to 10 years. Low-end products need to replace the bearings every 3 to 5 years. The long-term usage cost should be comprehensively considered.
